I’m Don Norbeck — and I find the problems that are real but still unresolved, then build the path from that signal to something that works at scale.
That instinct has been consistent across 28 years and very different contexts. I built Philadelphia’s first municipal website before cities understood they needed one. At VCE, I helped turn a converged infrastructure reference architecture into a $2 billion product category. At Dell, I ran a field innovation team that listened where the product org wouldn’t — translating what financial services customers actually needed into manufacturing changes and supply chain modifications that unlocked anchor relationships with USAA and Wells Fargo.
The pattern is the same every time: find the gap between what’s being built and what’s actually needed, prove the path, and make it repeatable.
I hold seven U.S. patents in predictive configuration, fault-tolerant infrastructure, and AI/ML-driven provisioning. I’m a licensed attorney with a JD from Temple University — which informs how I think about AI governance, IP defensibility, and the legal frameworks organizations are going to need whether they’re ready or not.
Currently I work with executives and investors on AI strategy and technology diligence, including buy and sell-side transaction work evaluating AI and ML product claims, technical architecture, and IP defensibility. I was appointed to the Whitemarsh Township Planning Commission in 2025.
